CALL FOR SCORES  

Postmark deadline: June 15, 2008

Nucleus is an ensemble committed to establishing relationships with living composers. We are looking at significantly expanding our 2008-09 concert season - with that comes the need for new music and composers!

To become acquainted with established and emerging composers across the country, we are launching a call for scores for our upcoming season. We will select and perform three to five pieces submitted for any combination of the following instruments:

  Flute/Piccolo
  Oboe/English Horn
  Clarinet/Bass Clarinet
  Violin
  Cello
  Piano

As we enjoy bringing in guest artists, we also welcome works that including an additional instrument to what is listed above. We prefer pieces that are no more than 15 minutes long and love those that include multi-media sound and/or visual elements.

We will provide performance recordings of all works selected and may choose to include one or more works on a future CD.

FOR ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION (help conserve the environment!):

1. Electronic version (pdf) of score.

2. MP3 of recording (either performance or MIDI is fine) - you can go to a free service like yousendit.com to email the files to info@nucleusensemble.com.

3. $10 for the first score, $5 for each additional score (paypal link is on this page).
